No, not _that_ Crater Lake! This is a much smaller lake in northeastern California. It _does_ occupy a volcanic crater, anyway. The road down into the crater was still largely snowed in, so that kept the crowds down--we walked. The inset shows the view off to the left. This is also a _different_ California Crater Lake from the one south of Lake Tahoe, a picture of which I posted before:
