Engineer Mountain

by slgwv
Colorado. Seen from off US Highway 550, the "million dollar highway." The sub-peak on this side has an elevation of 12,968 ft (3953 m); the farther peak is at 12,612 ft (3844 m). Engineer Mountain got its name from a team of surveyors, from the US Army Corps of Engineers, who climbed it in 1873 to establish a survey point.
