Ore Bin

Richmond Canyon mine, in the Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park, Nevada, USA. Per the interpretive sign:
"The ore bin at the Richmond Canyon mine is perhaps the only surviving example of this sort of structure in the state of Nevada.
"Since there were no saw mills nearby, native trees were cut and used for framing on the rock foundation and supporting stilts.
"The ore bin has approximately a 50 ton capacity, and the two chutes were used to load ore into wagons, then later, into trucks."
