I remember summer.

;) We'd like to see some more winter out here around the Sierras--we're headed into a serious drought at this rate!

And out here we've just had the first major Sierra storm since early December--

Dry even up here though we've gotten some rain the last few weeks. Less than normal snowfall in the mountains as well.

Heard you're getting a good storm now, tho, huh?

Drought is the new way of life.. people didnt want to hear that 20 years ago... seems like they will HAVE to listen now.

It's certainly possible. I think it more likely, tho, we're going to see more extreme variability--droughts followed by floods. In 1860 the newly elected governor of California was rowed(!) to his inauguration--the central valley had turned into a lake because the Pineapple Express got fixed in position for most of the season. It will be a real mess if something like that follows a series of droughts!
