Great Horned Owl

Bubo virginianus. Pine Creek campground, Toquima Range, Nevada, USA. This bird just perched above our camp and didn't seem worried about us at all! I was able to walk around to get better lighting without him spooking. The "horns" are tufts of feathers.

Thanks! I think this guy (or gal) must've gotten used to lots of rodents around the campground, from dropped food and garbage.
