Thanks! It doesn't _look_ salty, does it? ;)

There is some green grass up away from the shoreline, but that white "bathtub ring" at the shore includes enough salt to preclude any vegetation but extreme halophiles, and those would more likely be pink or red rather than green. There also had been a grass fire just recently, which accounts for the black slopes in the other photo in this set.
