Lahontan Reservoir

During the good water year of 2010-11. The main storage reservoir for the Newlands Project, the first major reclamation project carried out by the Bureau of Reclamation, a century ago. It's on the Carson River in western Nevada. It's named after Lake Lahontan, a vast lake that covered much of this area in the Pleistocene.
