Banderas sobre El Morro

The fortress of San Felipe del Morro guards the entrance to San Juan Harbor, Puerto Rico, and was the first major Spanish fortification in the New World. It was built in the 1490s, over a generation before the conquest of Mexico. The US national flag, the Puerto Rican flag, and the Spanish imperial battle ensign are flown over El Morro to this day.
