Mt. Adams

Telephoto view from the Summit Trail at Crystal Mtn ski resort, Washington state, USA. Looking south. Mt. Adams is another of the Cascade stratovolcanoes. It is now less active because the magma source seems to have shifted west to Mt. St. Helens, due to the westward drift of the North American plate.
I should have mentioned that the ragged outcrops in the middle distance are the Goat Rocks. They're the eroded remnants of another, now long extinct, stratovolcano. They're now in a wilderness area.

Thanks, everyone! I was skiing, so I was bundled up pretty well--a bit hot, in fact.
