Looking west from the summit of the road crossing the Seven Troughs range. Selenite Range on the skyline. There is no permanent habitation in the field of view aside from a couple of ranches in the Selenite Range.

Thanks, Peggy! Ironically, as I've remarked elsewhere, there were more people living out here a hundred years ago than now--isolated stockmen, sheepherders, prospectors, miners, etc. One thing the automobile has done is make it practical to commute from town!
