Nursery Rhyme Book

The earliest book from childhood that I still have.
It’s a nursery rhyme book with few very pictures - quite unlike anything published for children today - but I was very fond of it, and returned to the color plates to study them countless times as a young child.

Hello!
Thanks for the invitation to post this illustration to the group. I’m happy to do that - except I don’t remember this particular nursery rhyme having a tune. I think this was just one of the “Spoken Word” ones!
I actually remember many of the nursery rhyme tunes - probably helped by singing them to my kids - and working with kids for many years.
Please feel free to remove if this doesn’t qualify!

I'll say!
I also had a similar book that my mother read to me. First-born children definitely get the benefit of more quality time early on with mom than succeeding siblings. And more photos. :)
