The Toilet Papered Bed

Uploaded for the Vintage Photos Theme Park weekly theme of: BEDS AND BEDROOMS
Another prank pulled in the fun house of a 1940s/1950s beach house. Pictured in a family album that a library patron gave to me.

That looks like the work of 11-year-old girls. Too neatly done for boys that age. Fun photo, right on theme.

Deborah Lundbech replied to RicksPics:

I have to agree with you, Rick. My crew could not have done this nearly as neatly as many of their female friends would have done!
BUT - funnily enough, both pranks were done by a couple of the older people sharing this beach house.

Deborah Lundbech replied to StoneRoad2013:

Thanks, StoneRoad! As I said to Rick, these pranks are even funnier to me, given the pranksters ages.
These photos are in a little book with a perforated spine and show this family's beach vacation in (I think) Maine.
I don’t remember seeing this kind of photo book in England, but they were popular here from about the early forties to the mid 1950s, and the ones I’ve seen usually share a theme. (Out in the garden, our vacation, picnic in the park, etc.)

The young boy is the only child staying there. Two of the adults are “Ed and Mary” - the dummy in the bed creators!
