Louise Michaëli (1830-1875); Swedish soprano.
In 1849 she made her debut in Stockholm at the Royal Opera, where she was welcomed enthusiastic, because at that time there was no real prima donna present. She was accepted to study at the Opera School under Julius Günther. From 1852/55 she was engaged at the Royal Opera. In 1855/56 she toured Scandinavia, Germany and The Netherlands. In 1859 she was engaged at Her Majesty's Theatre in London. On her return to Sweden she became the leading prima donna in Stockholm alongside Signe Hebbe and Fredrika Stenhammar until 1874. She was appointed "Court Singer" and elected to the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. Her husband and daughter died in 1871 and she died of tuberculosis in 1875. Her most memorable roles were Queen of the Night in "Die Zauberflöte", Donna Anna in "Don Giovanni", Agathe in "Der Freischütz", the Countess in "Le nozze di Figaro" and Norma.
