Mathilde Mallinger by Pierson
Mathilde Mallinger, born Lichtenegger (1847-1928); Croatian soprano.In 1866 she made her debut at Munich in Bellini's "Norma". She created the role of Eva in Wagner's "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg" (1868). From 1890-1895 she was a vocal teacher at Prague and her most known pupil was Lotte Lehmann.
