Ooh, nice catch! Of course, I've never seen one of these...it occurs to me that there should be a car model named after this bird. 1950s, maybe. Is there?

I thinks it's funny that they are in the same family as the Cuckoo bird.

There was a muscle car model called Road Runner (like the Warner Bros. cartoon) by Plymouth that first appeared for the 1968 model year.

There was also a rare, special version for 1970 called Road Runner Superbird.
