Rome 2026 – Baths of Diocletian – Statue of Mithras and Altars with dedication to Cautes and Cautopates

The Mithraeum was built around 180 AD in a military barracks. It was destroyed in the later parts of the 4th century, in 460 AD the Basilica of S. Stefano Rotondo was built on top.
