Venice 2022 – Ca’ Pesaro – Letters to Afro Basaldella

Ca’ Pesaro was built in the 17th and 18th century for the Pesaro family. The family died out in 1830 and after several owners it was bequeathed to the city of Venice in 1898 to turn it into a modern art museum. It also has a small Oriental collection, collected by Prince Henry of Bourbon-Parma, Count of Bardi, at the end of the 19th century during a trip through Asia.
