Monnickendam 2014 – Bruinvis

Arent Bruijn, a soap manufacturer, made two houses into one in 1741. He put a Harbour Porpoise (in Dutch: Bruinvis = Brown Fish) on the gable, which is an allusion to his name and to the name of his mother's first husband, who was called Visscher (Fisher).
