Alkmaar 2014 – House on the Langestraat

Built by Jean Coulon for mayor Carel de Dieu in 1742–1745. During the Anglo-Russian invasion of Holland in 1799 this house was the headquarters of general Daendels and later of Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany.
