I'm not sure but the previous roosters slept high up in a tree. I don't know if they do that when it is raining. Maybe they sleep in the bike shed now.

Sometimes keeping chickens or other livestock is prohibited in a rental agreement or the conditions layed down in the contract when you buy the house. There have been some cases before the Dutch courts where a judge ordered the roosters to be removed, because they have been causing a nuisance. These roosters are "wild", so the law doesn't apply to them.
