Indicating the border of the jurisdiction of the count of Holland and the city of Leiden. Also the place where executions were held and punishments were admonished. It lays in the middle of the Breestraat. There are also a Red Stone and a White Stone elsewhere in the city, indicating the border between the three parishes.
