Old German money: 50 pfennig bank note from Bad Harzburg, valid until December 31, 1922

Things are certainly jolly in Bad Harzburg, people are having a whale of a time in the Biergarten.

The high inflation period after the First World War in Germany and other countries didn't go unnoticed in the rest of the world. The worthless paper money found its way in the collection of many people, among them was my grandfather. How he came about these notes, I don't know.
