Lovely sunrise! I like the images your Samyang gives you. May have to look into getting something similar. You would be hard pressed to find an empty road in Toronto...even at dawn.
Thanks, Jim! Yes, the Samyang 14mm is a crazy lens. Very sharp, great colours, inexpensive. But 14mm is pretty weird! At least for me it is. But I'm beginning to get a feel for the thing now I think, so that's good. :)
I think that compared to Toronto, Amsterdam is a village. We're a tiny country and even our big cities are small in comparison. You know, I've been to Toronto. Many years ago. Flew directly to it from Amsterdam, stayed with friends who's names I can't even remember now... After a week I left, went to the USA, travelled for 3 or 4 months or so. A great and wild trip that was! I think I still have some photographs of Toronto. I need a scanner!
I envy you! Always wanted to travel, but life happens. I have travelled Canada and the U.S. extensively, but never anywhere else. Now that I have a camera I have suggested to Margaret (now that she is retired) about renting an R.V. and driving around for a month, but with 4 girls I don't see that happening.
Pity you only spent a week here before heading to the States. I think our country has some of the most picturesque vistas around, lacking only the Grand Canyon and desert. The Canyon totally blew my mind!
Well, when I was young the USA was the country to travel, you know? Now I regret not having travelled Canada. But I've not had a chance to do so in later years because, as you say, life happens.
I hear you on the Grand Canyon, Jim. It totally blew me away as well. I did take pictures of it, but the grandness and awesomeness of that canyon I did not capture. One of the most amazing natural phenomena I ever did see. The Niagara Falls was a good second though!
Ah, maar zo vroeg buiten zijn is juist heerlijk, vooral in de stad! :) Dank je, Jaap. En wat een leuke groep is dat: Bruggen in Nederland. Als we nou iets hebben hier, is het wel bruggen!
