Amazing capture! Bird aside, that clear blue sky is remarkable as well. I think most people don't even actually read the descriptions people provide...hence they don't notice your preference for no comment codes. C'est la vie.

Levina de Ruijter replied to Jim Boynton:

Thanks, Jim! A blue sky stays blue with the sun in your back. The more you turn the camera towards the sun and the less blue you will get. :)

You're right, most people don't read descriptions. Still, what it tells me is that the group uses comment codes and that means that posting my images there will bring in people who use them.
I didn't post my images in that group to begin with, but then read something on the subject somewhere else and thought: hmmm, maybe I should accept the invitations. But I'm back to declining them now, which is fine.

I really have to try and remember about keeping the sun behind me. Now if I can just teach the birds about it as well. LOL!

Levina de Ruijter replied to Jim Boynton:

Well, that's the problem, isn't it? Those buggers don't always cooperate! Even this bird. One moment I am shooting him in the air, like in the above pic, sun in my back when suddenly he turns and lands to the left of me (see the other shot of the bird in the grass). Very nice of course, but now the sun is at 10 to 12 so the bird is just about back lit. So, happens to us all and then you just take the shot and hope for the best. :)
