It does make very warm pullovers...
I span the hairs of my fluffy dog, and knitted a warm pullover ! no kidding

No ... I'm not that crafty! :-) I have wondered about that though as I've been raking the carpet prior to using the vacuum! I use to burn up a few sweeper belts before I started doing that! I usually have the girls professionally groomed. I'm not really setup very well to give them a bath at home. Cathy usually has enough hair on the floor by the time she is done for a pullover! :-)
