Pandemic chalk: Crocheted afghan

The chalk on our walk right now is a crocheted afghan, with 25 colorful granny squares, no two identical. :)

That was the thing, right? My mother made two afghans for me “with no two squares the same”.
This is very cool, Penny. Almost hard to believe that you didn’t just lay an afghan down on the path and photograph it! : )

Granny squares are great for using up yarn scraps, so it's pretty typical that a granny square afghan will have no two squares alike. I have made afghans with all the squares matching, but the result is not as "alive". The variety really is the spice for me!
