Trespassing?

No! I was on land belonging to Rochester Cathedral which since 1880 has been leased to the Council for use as a public park.

Looks a nice place.

The building on the right is part of Restoration House, the main part of which dates from the Tudor period. It was believed to have been the inspiration for Dickens' Bleak House and Miss Haversham's home, "Satis House". Yet, in the 1980's, the local council approved its demolition to make room for a car park! (My blood boiled when the tour guide told us that). It was only saved, I understand, as a result of public protest.
