Long ago I used to come to Oxford in mid-May on a week day and do the waterways circuit, and stopped here for a drink. It was still the Waterman's Arms then and I was the only customer in the place.
Indeed, and taken in October. That day I met someone for lunch at a sit-down food bank nearby which served hot food, masses of it, free to all comers.
One can see that the pub here was by then no longer the Waterman's Arms because their "Good Food" sign on the side wall had gone. Does The Punter instead serve bad food?
