The Shepperton swans are probably the best part.

I think it's rather pretty, and wouldn't like to think that those swans had come from Shepperton (50+ miles from Cosgrove, as the swan flies) for nothing.

Was it better in muddy-water reality? -

YES (though the composition is very off)

Without the swans to balance it, I quite agree.

But with them and the blue water, it makes a colourful, cheerful little chocolate-box picture which is all it's intended to be.

I would be more cheered by a box of Black Magic.
