Taffy is a constant pun-maker and convulses almost into tears at his own jokes, though he's heard them many times before. Whereas I am more into situational humour. The funniest story he ever told me was the true story of how he fell down a manhole on the way home.

It shows he's honest. If he himself thinks those jokes funny, he'd be hypocritical NOT to laugh at them.

In my case it isn't pathological. Pathetic, perhaps, but that's something different.
