Somewhat contrived.

Howard Somerville replied to Isisbridge:

In what way? Only (the usual) TV aerials, cables and yellow lines were removed. Everything else is as was.

Isisbridge replied to Howard Somerville:

The way the hanging basket is just missing the chimney pots.
But I won't say too much, in case it looks LIKE I'm being critical.

Howard Somerville replied to Isisbridge:

In what way does that make it contrived?

If I ever get the chance to go there again, I'll ask the landlord to raise the basket, or the householder to move the chimney stack. (I was aware at the time that the gap between basket and chimney was sub-optimal, but adjusting the POV to increase it would have been detrimental to the composition overall.)

I welcome constructive criticism, and also praise where due, as it is here. This was taken in a hurry - the rest of my walking group were rushing to the station, and I missed the train as a result - and during a very brief gap between passers-by.

But missing the train and losing contact with the party was a blessing in disguise, because it gave me the opportunity to continue (on my own) on to Southend.

Isisbridge replied to Howard Somerville:

I don't think this shot was worth missing the train for, but the Southend one maybe.
Hope you weren't stranded for the night, as I was in Blandford Forum.

Howard Somerville replied to Isisbridge:

At least you were warm and dry indoors, had soda to drink, popcorn to eat and a film to sleep through.

Isisbridge replied to Howard Somerville:

I was warm and dry outdoors, but suffered terrible cramp on the hard concrete.
