Hopefully, the inharmonious paintwork will fade soon.

I thought it was rather pretty.

Isisbridge replied to Howard Somerville:

It probably was before they went overboard on the gate and gable.
Let's be thankful they didn't do the chimney pots as well.

Howard Somerville replied to Isisbridge:

You're right that the blue is inharmonious (if it's a listed building, I'm surprised it was allowed) and I'd chage it in PhotoShop, except that the "Replace" facility in Ipernity still hasn't been fixed.

Isisbridge replied to Howard Somerville:

That's annoying, as I have a huge back log of photos I need to replace and was planning to start on this soon. I could simply upload the new versions and delete the old ones, but then I would lose any views or comments.

Howard Somerville replied to Isisbridge:

Yes, it is annoying. Ipernity seems to be a very amateur outfit.

I was going to add (about the above) that while they were about it, they might have painted the television aerial and the power cables blue as well, and even the car parked in front.

Isisbridge replied to Howard Somerville:

I quite like the blue door, as it's a focal point in the overall scene, but painting the gate and gable as well is simply a visual irritation, with the eye not knowing which way to look. I hope the residents are reading this!

I wonder who they are. Anne of Blue Gables, perhaps.
