A much-photographed view seen on many a calendar. The church dates from the 13th Century.

Alas, the thatched cottages, right, were destroyed by fire in the 1950's and were re-built (with a half-hearted effort to recreate their original appearance). In reality, the whole group is colour washed in the same drearily-uniform pink.
