You're right about the shot tower and sort of right about the bridge - although the bridge in this picture is Strand rather than Waterloo bridge. But you've got the location wrong. Why would it be under *Blackfriars* bridge? You should easily get it now...!

I'd have thought this showed Waterloo bridge too; the shot tower was removed to allow the Queen Elizabeth Hall to be built. And Strand bridge must be a new one, don't they go up fast nowadays. . . .

The original Waterloo bridge (Rennie) was initially called Strand bridge... renamed Waterloo and then replaced by current Waterloo bridge in the 1940s. This shows the original bridge and it's under...? Or maybe Jim should just have the point?

The '30s and '40s versions of the film were done in the U.S., always a good bet for complete inaccuracy. Obviously I'd not heard of Strand bridge either, apparently it was only known as this for a year or two whilst being built, Waterloo station being named after the bridge.

Yes, it is under Waterloo Bridge. Well done Jim!
Might write something about all this shortly.
