Guesses are good, Bill and TCR is a good guess but unfortunately not there - west of TCR and about a century earlier than the Paolozzi. (Quite near another of my entries - the foot and book).
Well-done, Bill. That's it. Came across it by chance last Saturday. Some lovely mosaic decoration. Photos of other bits of it to follow.
What is surprising about the author's initial letter on the book? Perhaps, like me, you thought initially it was an 'F' but on closer inspection I think it's actually an 'E' which is what I would have expected. And what's draped over the books is a further clue. (And you're only a few minutes walk away if you're at the fountain...)
