Yes, right area. Well-deduced! Trying to think of clue. Try - where a street that could be a hill, although normally plural, meets a south coast county.
Maybe too obscure?

Not sure why it struck me as Marylebone, as it's not an area I've spent much time in. Had to refer to the map for this: Chiltern & Dorset Streets?

Ta! I'll take you up on that offer. The little time I've spent there (a visit to The Button Queen in Marylebone Lane), I got the feeling that I was walking down the lane of a very old village. I'd love to know more of the history.
