Red Lion Court
There are a series of plaques at the entrances to the various Courts along the north side of Fleet St.
Apologies for the poor quality of the photo. Must try to get a better one. It was a very bright day (really? did we have one?) and half the plaque was in shadow from the court entrance and the rest was brightly lit. I couldn't seem to get a good angle for an even light. That's my excuse anyway.
The bottom part that is hard to read says:
In 1816 William Caslon IV produced the first sans-serif printing type popularised by printers like R Taylor who worked in this court.
