Good idea! German is so precise that it can occasionally be incorrect ;-))
Its English name is more flexible as the blossoms may show up whenever they feel like it and don't have to confine themselves to the month of May.

Well, I guess they were shy and didn't want to be photographed. Or perhaps they just did it for data protection reasons, Judite ;-)

This raises the valid question why we normally photograph flowers only from the front.

Because most of the time it's easy. I just didn't feel like crawling through the underbrush and they apparently didn't feel like turning around ;-)) Anyway, their backs are beautiful, too... ;-)
