Fremlins Ales

Maybe not an interesting shot but an interesting history to Fremlins ales.
Fremlins brewery was established in Maidstone Kent by Ralph Fremlin who did not approve of pubs. He concentrated his business on bottled beer which was delivered by horse and cart to peoples houses.
If you are interested in the full story I have shared a link.

An interesting shot James..........of this iconic shaped bottle opener, once an essential implement for anyone who liked bottled beer, before the invention of screw caps!

I enjoyed reading the history in the link............it seems to me that Ralph Fremlin was an early marketing genius and the very idea of "Temperance Ale" amuses me ;-))).

Thanks for sharing..!!

James replied to Keith Burton:

Yes Temperance Ale also amused me as did the idea of a man who didn't like pubs taking over a brewery!
Glad you enjoyed the link and thanks for reading.
Talking of reading have you ever read 11/22/63 by Stephen King? I think it might interest you.

Thanks for the comment
