Fascinating stuff James. I had to have a quick Google to find out what a black light was used for.........I knew about the forensic-type stuff, but little else. What a great gadget to experiment with.......and a great result.

I love the eerie glow and the strange colour palette. I'm not sure what the background is.......it looks a bit like snakeskin, but I'm sure it's not ;-))

Back in the day they used them in discos they would make anything white glow also opal hunters use them at night as it makes opals glow, and scorpions!!
The bulb is on a piece of tinfoil :-)
You can get blacklight torches for a few quid on ebay Amazon etc.
