FUBAR

Maybe controversial but the story behind this is photographer Bob Carlos Clarke took a photo of a handgun but he didn't like the print so he threw it in the bin. The following day the bin man came to empty the bins and saw the picture, he took it out and knocked on BCC's door and asked if he would sign it for him, BCC snatched the pic from him and crumpled it up throwing it on the floor then told the bin man where to go. Later BCC tried to smooth out the pic to try and work out why it wasn't working for him, he actually liked the crumpled image and simply took a picture of that, the finished image was acclaimed by the critics.
This is my version and in case you are wondering it is a non working photo prop.

Two great photos of this pistol James..........and FUBAR seems to be the perfect acronym to describe it.

The detail in the pistol and background is excellent, especially when viewed large. I like the background in both photos, but the grungy one in the main image is my favourite.

A strange, but interesting story to go with the photos!

Thanks very much for the comment and for viewing large.
Many moons ago I read an in depth interview with BCC and he had some interesting tales to tell about some of his pics, you could say that maybe I am a bit obsessed with photography and the old 'toggers as I have read so much about many of them and studied their photography.

A lot of photographers were treated like rock-stars in those days! A different world back then!
