The cheeky Robin

This little Robin has a nest in my garden and is busy raising chicks constantly flying back and forth for food. She/he is very cheeky and sits on the gatepost by my back door shouting loudly until I go out and give her food. She is quite happy to come and sit with me at the garden table and will come right up to my hand. Ain't nature wonderful.

James replied to Günter Klaus:

It is so nice to see her and her mate gathering food and coming to me for food, the male though is not as trusting and he won't come too close. Many thanks for the comment Güni and best wishes for a pleasant evening

James replied to Keith Burton:

The wonderful thing is that she is so tame and will take a mealworm from my hand, her mate isn't so trusting he will come within a couple of feet but that is it.
Thank you so much for your comment it means a lot

James replied to Ernst Doro:

Yes you can tell them apart apparently the female has a slightly curved beak, I believe this is the male as it has a grey patch at the rear of his head. We get a mix of seeds, mealworms and suet for the robins but other small birds like it too. The robins however are territorial and will chase them away.

James replied to Ernst Doro:
