Das Alte wird heut zu Tage immer schnell entfernt und ausgetauscht,wie es auch im Leben ist,da hast du echt eine schöne,alte Tür entdeckt und sie nochmals sehr schön zeigen können lieber James :))

It is a shame these doors have been replaced I just hope the old ones are being used elsewhere, I think they should have been left as this is an historic building.

I can see why you liked them James........together with the pillars, they look very grand and beautifully ornate. You've captured them in lovely light.....and superb detail.

I'm guessing the building wasn't listed or in a conservation area, so there would have been nothing to stop them being replaced with UPVC :-(

Maybe they've been given to a reclaimation centre for someone else to buy, restore and use.

I hope the doors have been reused elsewhere Keith, the original hotel was built in 1869 and was a coach house, (I'll put a pic on sometime)
Last year a van reversed into the pillar on the left totally destroying it and it has been replaced by a square wooden construction, grrr :-((
