Lotus flower seed heads, with PIP

I added a black and white PIP as I wasn't sure which I preferred, it will be interesting to know which one others prefer.

Another superb shut of these amazing seed heads. As always the detail is excellent and the lighting is spot on. I love the colours too.......in fact the seed heads at the rear of the frame remind me of terracotta.

I like the black and white version as well.......but the colour remains my favourite....I think it has more impact!

First class macro work as usual James!!

James replied to Keith Burton:

Glad you like these Keith the colour to me looks like rust, the lamp I used cast a warm glow on them, looking at the two shots together I tend to agree with you that the colour version does have more impact.

Sincere thanks for you kind and generous comment

A beautiful macro of a fascinating and for me unusual subject.
I prefer the colours version, enhanced by a fine light.

James replied to Adele:

Thank you Adele, these seed heads are not a native plant in the UK so I find them quite fascinating too
