Splodge

When I have paint left over from painting I "splodge" it onto a piece of board, this is just a small part of a board.

Such a bright and colourful image James........I love all the different shapes and textures made by the "splodges" of paint. I bet it's very tactile when it dries as well.

Such a great idea........and a wonderful abstract, which, it seems, will continue to change over time!

James replied to Keith Burton:

I had to have some colour today Keith as I am sure you have noticed how grim the weather has been today :( Yes it is very tactile these shapes will remain as they are on quite a large board and I just keep adding to make it bigger.

Many thanks for your comment, best wishes for a good evening

Looks like you use a lot of oil or acrylic paints in your other hobby James. This has come together very well. I have a feeling if I tried this with my paints it would not do as good :) Well done.

Cheers. Herb

James replied to Herb Riddle:

Thank you very much Herb. I use water soluble oils as I find them easier to use and blend than other media and a lot easier to clean the brushes etc.
