Da hast du ja sehr schöne Erinnerungen zu deinen schönen Darstellung mit den Kastanien lieber James,ja,früher hatte man viel mehr Kontakte zu seinen Großeltern,das war schon eine feine Zeit,leider hat sich das heute geändert und der alte Mensch ist nichts mehr wert :))

I am so lucky with my grandchildren Guni as my grandchildren love to come and see us and they are interested in the things we do, I have a granddaughter who is very interested in photography and she loves taking pics and learning from me. Maybe one day I shall post a pic on here for her.

Das ist ja schön,wie sich deine Kinder und die Kleinen entwickelt haben lieber James,das ist ja schön,dass sich deine Enkelin für das tolle Hobby Fotografie interessiert und sie von dir lernen will,früher in unserer Kinderzeit war es normal,das die Älteren immer Vorbilder waren,weil man von ihnen sehr viel gelernt hat,ich habe erst 2018 richtig mit der Fotografie begonnen,durch meine 2 Krebserkrankungen bin ich dann auf das Hobby gekommen,weil ich sehr viel Ruhe suchte und die Natur und die Fotografie haben mir damals viel geholfen und es macht mir richtig Spaß,ich wünsche dir weiterhin viel Freude mit deinen Enkelkindern :))

I'm just about old enough to remember chestnuts being roasted in the street on old oil drums and being sold in brown paper bags.

Thank you very much Keith, that is one of the reasons I love photography, bringing back memories not just for me but hopefully for other people.
And yes I can also remember getting chestnuts from street sellers, oh those were the days
