The mood this picture creates is a strange mixture of vague threat and wistfulness. I love the way the light creates a halo around the girl's head and back; and the way she's looking back down the stairs. The diagonals and shading are both masterful too. This is definitely a favourite for me. Thank you for your creativity and good luck with your time management!

Thank you for your comment — I really appreciate it. Actually, what you called 'threat' isn't really a threat as such, but rather the circumstances in which the photo was taken. It's a dental clinic, and I was standing in line by the stairs. I don't go anywhere without my camera — not even to buy bread. And of course, I couldn't pass up the chance to photograph such a stunning staircase. There's no ban on photography in the clinic, but naturally, no one ever takes pictures there. I took the shot on the sly. It was lucky that the girl turned around.
