This is the main telescope at the Jodrell Bank Observatory near Manchester. When built, in 1945, it was the world's biggest radio telescope. It is now the third biggest. A UNESCO World Heritage site. It is threatened with closure in 2028 due to proposed withdrawal of government funding. The Visitor's Centre is well worth a visit.
