A surprise visitor over Sunderland, this Spitfire was built in 1944, serving initially with 411 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Shot down over France (the pilot survived), the wreckage was recovered in 1989 and fully restored by 2022.

It is currently used by the 'Fly a Spitfire' experience company.
