Eingehegt - HWW

Der rote Main ist in Bayreuth noch recht jung - das Korsett, in welches er gezwungen wird, ist deutlich überdimensioniert.

Das Abendlicht und die Graffitis machen die Architektur etwas erträglicher. Und für Wagner war auch noch Platz.

Ja, das galt lange. Man hat mit der Main-Regulierung vor 100 Jahren angefangen. Inzwischen wurden flußaufwärts Überflutungsbereiche und Rückhaltebecken geschaffen. Damit könnte man jetzt eine Renaturierung starten - allein es fehlt das Geld...

Of course, it would be desirable, even dreamlike, if we didn't try to tame and restrict nature everywhere. Floods in regions with almost completely sealed surfaces should be a warning to us — and not only them.
